Upload a PDF and add interactive form fields — text inputs, checkboxes, dropdowns, and signature fields. Create fillable PDFs without Adobe Acrobat.
The PDF form builder adds interactive fields to any existing PDF — text input boxes, checkboxes, radio buttons, dropdown menus, and signature fields. Upload your base document (a form template, a letterhead, or any PDF), position fields over the relevant areas, set field properties (required, placeholder text, field type), and export a fully interactive fillable PDF. Recipients can fill the form in any modern PDF viewer — Adobe Reader, Chrome, Edge — without special software. Use for: consent forms, application forms, order forms, intake documents, and any PDF that needs to be filled and returned digitally.
Text fields. Single-line and multi-line text inputs for names, addresses, comments, and descriptions. Set placeholder text and field labels to guide respondents.
Checkboxes. Binary yes/no fields for agreements, declarations, and multi-select option lists. Group related checkboxes for clarity.
Radio buttons. Single-selection option groups where only one choice from a set can be selected — suitable for gender, status, preference, and yes/no questions that need to be mutually exclusive.
Dropdown menus. Predefined lists of options that reduce input errors and standardise responses — ideal for country selection, document type, department, or any finite set of choices.
Signature fields. Designated areas where the form recipient can draw or type their signature directly in their PDF viewer when completing the form.
Will recipients need special software to fill the form?
No. The exported fillable PDF works in any modern PDF viewer — Adobe Reader, Chrome browser, Edge, Preview on Mac, and standard mobile PDF apps. No special plugins or software needed.
Can I create a form from a blank page rather than an existing PDF?
Start with a blank template or a simple PDF with your form layout. Add your field labels as text, then overlay interactive fields on top of the label areas. For more complex designs, create the visual layout in a word processor first, export to PDF, then add interactive fields here.
Are completed form responses collected anywhere?
No. The form is a standalone PDF file. When a recipient fills it out and saves it, the completed data is stored only in their local PDF file. They return the completed file to you by email or other means — there is no centralised data collection server.
Can I set fields as required?
Yes. Mark fields as required when adding them. PDF viewers that validate form fields (such as Adobe Reader) will alert the user if they try to submit or save without completing required fields.
